| X - The Moors I | XII - The Catalans I |
Ibiza, then called Ibosim, and Formentera are under Muslim influence, culture and technology. The upper picture shows Falconry, religious teaching, a water well and a bit of courting. A boat is mooring in Cala Benirras.
The land is very productive, with Feixes (gated, irrigated land) on the left, almond picking and sheep grazing on the right.
Below: An Alembic for distillation, Athanor for Alchemy, small ceramic fountain and vases, books and a musical instrument. Far right: The Portal of San Ciriaco. Apparently the brother of the Moorish lord introduced the Catalan and Aragonese conquerors through this gate into the old town of Ibiza in revenge because his brother had taken his wife.
